In addition to Maxey’s contribution, he also provided 10 assists. Joel Embiid had a standout performance with 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Kelly Oubre Jr. added 26 points on an efficient 10-of-14 shooting.
On the other side, Kevin Durant was the offensive leader for Houston with 36 points, although he was responsible for eight of the team’s 17 turnovers. Amen Thompson supported with 17 points and nine assists as the Rockets saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
Houston was ahead 107-101 until Maxey scored 11 points within the last four minutes of the fourth quarter, tying the game at 115-115 with just over 40 seconds remaining.
