What’s more, his iconic Nike balls from the early 2000s were also made by Bridgestone, with Woods’ devotion rewarded in the latest extension.

Speaking after the renewal, the 15-time major winner stated: “Since the beginning, Bridgestone has continued to innovate and lead the golf ball category in terms of technology, performance and consistency

They are great at what they do, and I look forward to continuing to work with their R&D team to design industry-leading golf balls.”

It comes as Woods is gearing up for his 29th year as a professional golf player, having made his debut in 1996.

While the number of events he competes at might’ve decreased in recent years, the 49-year-old did feature in all four majors last year – the first time he’d done so since pre-pandemic.

Speaking at the Sony Open, former US Open champion Gary Woodland told Golfweek: “He knows that golf course so well, he can play his way around that place blind.
And even though he’s only teed off five times across the last 12 months, Woods is being tipped to roll back the years at Augusta National.
