Despite the ongoing turmoil in LIV Golf, Brooks Koepka’s wife Jena Sims seems to have her priorities straight. Last year, she caddied for Brooks at Augusta National while also caring for their young child during the Par Contest, a fun event where family members serve as golfers’ caddies.

It looks like this year will be no different, with Jena already gearing up for The Masters, as indicated by a recent Instagram story featuring a photo of a white jumpsuit and the caption: “It’ll be here before you know it.”

This could offer Brooks some relief amid the current upheaval in LIV’s brief existence. Among the many challenges the circuit is currently facing, such as tough merger talks with the PGA Tour, is the fact that LIV events do not award points to golfers, something broadcaster Eamon Lynch accused former CEO Greg Norman of lying about.

In a harsh critique of LIV and Norman, Lynch claimed the players were deceived and their efforts to get events recognized had been unsuccessful. “[Eugenio Chacarra] said he too was promised OWGR points for joining LIV. They lied to these guys, it’s an outright lie,” Lynch began.

“Because it wasn’t within their gift to give OWGR points. Perhaps Greg Norman thought he could actually bully the world ranking system into giving them points so that he would have a critical mass of players who would allow them to kind of strong-arm the world golf rankings to say ‘Well you have to give ranking points to a Dustin Johnson or a Brooks Koepka or a Bryson DeChambeau.’

“But they didn’t and eventually they said ‘Well we’re not going to comply with the criteria so we’re withdrawing the application.’”

Despite the current challenges faced by the Saudi Arabian-backed circuit, Augusta National will always be a cherished memory for the couple. In an interview with GOLF’s Claire Rogers on ‘The Scoop,’ Jena shared how they first met during the initial round of the 2015 Masters after months of messaging each other.

Jena revealed that a friend played a role in their meeting at the course. “I’m from [Georgia] so I had a friend who had Masters tickets,” she stated, as reported by Golf Magic. “I just told Brooks, ‘I’m going to be here, this would be a great opportunity for us to meet.’ So I guess I made the first two moves!

“I think it was the Thursday round and I was there. I found him and he spotted me. This was during the tournament play, between holes 7 and 8, and he reached over the ropes and hugged me.”
