Nelly Korda announced that she will miss two upcoming LPGA events in Asia due to a neck injury that she sustained.
Six events remain on the 2024 LPGA calendar, a year that many golf fans will remember for Nelly Korda’s astonishing stretch in the spring.
She won five straight events earlier this year and then added a sixth victory at Liberty National in May. But since then, Korda has struggled to close out another win, notably falling short at St. Andrews to Lydia Ko in the AIG Women’s Open. She also missed the cut at the U.S. Women’s Open and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June.
Her rollercoaster ride of a season took another downward spiral on Monday when Korda announced that she would miss the next two tournaments in Asia: the BMW Ladies Championship in Korea and the Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“Hey everyone, I wanted to share an update regarding my upcoming schedule. Unfortunately, I’ve had to withdraw from the LPGA events in Korea and Malaysia due to a minor neck injury I sustained while practising,” Korda posted on X Monday night.
“I’m disappointed to miss these events and am especially sorry to my fans who were looking forward to seeing me play. I’m currently resting and working with my team to get better.”

Korda has posted a pair of top-5 finishes in her last two starts. She tied for second at St. Andrews in August and most recently finished in a tie for fifth at the Kroger Queen City Championship in Cincinnati in mid-September.
She continues to sit atop the CME Points rankings—the LPGA’s season-long standings—and looks destined to win the Player of the Year. She also has been the World No. 1 since early March amid her historic run to five straight victories.
