Justin Rose from England has solidified his position for a 13th PGA Tour victory, extending his lead to six strokes at the Farmers Insurance Open on Saturday.

At 45 years old, Rose, who led by four shots after the second round, finished with seven birdies in a strong four-under-par 68 on the challenging South Course at Torrey Pines, bringing his tournament score to 21-under.

American Joel Dahmen, with five birdies and a bogey for a round of 68, holds the second place, two shots behind.

Rose has maintained the lead since the first round and currently holds the largest 54-hole lead in this tournament since Tiger Woods led by eight strokes in 2008.

The best winning score in the event’s history is 22 under, achieved by Woods in 1999 and George Burns in 1987.

“I’m just hoping he doesn’t set his alarm or starts hitting it in the rough on the back nine,” Dahmen shared with PGA Golf. “Considering how well he’s playing, I’d be happy with second place.”

Rose, who finished as the runner-up in the 2025 Masters, last won on the PGA Tour in August at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

After rounds of 62 and 65, Rose was in control, but bogeys on the 11th, 12th, and 16th holes reduced his once eight-shot lead.

“It’s another solid round on a fantastic golf course in great weather,” Rose told PGA Golf. “I won’t get complacent. There’s always a respect for golf in the back of your mind, reminding you to perform well tomorrow. I know I need to stay focused and play my best.”

Brooks Koepka, a five-time major champion playing his first tournament back on the PGA Tour after leaving LIV Golf, shot a one-over-par 73, placing him in a tie for 61st heading into the final round.

Seamus Power from Ireland, who was four shots behind after the second round, fell to ten shots back following a disappointing third-round score of 74.
