This year marks the first time the 2026 European Tour will include fifteen events, beginning with the Poland Darts Open in Krakow from February 20 to 22.
For the European Tour, the top 16 players in the PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 in the Pro Tour Order of Merit will be directly seeded. Each tournament will also have ten spots available for PDC Tour Card holders through qualifiers, alongside four entries from Host Nation Qualifiers. The last two spots in the main draw are allocated to players emerging from qualifiers in Eastern Europe and the Baltic & Scandinavian regions.
The Eastern Europe qualifier for the initial two events of the 2026 European Tour concluded yesterday, with Boris Krcmar, a former PDC Tour Card holder, securing his place in the Poland Darts Open. Krcmar, nicknamed “The Biggest,” narrowly defeated Hungarian Andras Borbely 6-5 in the final after losing 3-1 to Luke Woodhouse in the opening round of the last World Darts Championship.
However, Krcmar did not achieve the same success in the qualifier for the European Darts Trophy, where he fell to Poland’s Wojciech Brulinski 6-5.
Recently, Krcmar made an attempt to reclaim his PDC Tour Card at Q-School but lost the crucial match, having held the card from 2020 to 2024. Despite this setback, qualifying for the season’s first European Tour event enhances his chances for the World Cup of Darts. Currently, Croatia has only one PDC Tour Card holder, Pero Ljubic, making Krcmar’s potential ranking improvements in Poland especially important for his bid to return to the World Cup of Darts, a tournament he has participated in five times before.
