Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red has a new and advanced spikeless shoe

Tiger Woods and Sun Day Red are back in action.

 

On Wednesday, SDR announced the launch of the Presidio, an innovative spikeless golf shoe that combines high-tech performance with contemporary style, embodying the essence of Sun Day Red.

 

The Presidio stands out by providing top-notch stability and traction without the typical spikes that have become less appealing for many golfers. It also boasts an impressive design.

 

Key features of the Presidio include a Torsional Traction Plate with exposed lugs for turf grip, a Lateral Stability Brace that supports lateral movement during swings, and an External Heel Counter that secures the heel.

 

Charley Hudak, Senior Creative Director of Footwear, stated, “We aimed to create the best spikeless golf shoe on the market—enhancing stability and ground connection without using removable spikes. Partnering with Tiger means our focus is always on enhancing performance for elite golfers. The Torsional Traction Plate and Lateral Stability Brace, alongside the external heel counter, transform shoe performance. It allows for a stronger connection to the ground and greater stability, thereby increasing power in your swing.”

 

The full-length rubber outsole, designed with multi-directional lugs, optimizes ground force reactions for maximum power transfer. The upper part features a mesh reinforced with TPU film for durability and support, while a 3/4 bootie construction with engineered foam padding guarantees comfort and breathability, ideal for extensive play.

 

Hudak added, “While we designed the Presidio to excel in performance, it also had to look fantastic. It’s a spikeless golf shoe that doesn’t compromise. We anticipate it will be showcased on the biggest stages and finest courses worldwide.”
